Job Summary

We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive Human Resources Generalist to support a fast-paced automotive manufacturing operation in Wentzville, MO. This position is ideal for an HR professional with strong experience in employee relations, recruiting, compliance, and HR program administration within a manufacturing or ISO/TS 16949 environment.

As an HR Generalist, you will play a key role in supporting plant operations, partnering with leadership, and ensuring compliance with company policies and employment regulations. What You’ll Be Doing

• Participate in full-cycle recruiting, including confirming recruiting strategies with HR leadership
• Interview candidates, coordinate offer approvals, and coach managers on recruiting best practices
• Support employee disciplinary meetings, investigations, and terminations
• Organize and manage employee onboarding and orientation processes
• Coordinate training and employee development initiatives
• Administer HR programs including compensation, benefits, performance management, talent management, and employee engagement
• Promote a positive, compliant, and conflict-free workplace culture
• Provide guidance to employees regarding compensation, benefits, leaves of absence, and HR-related concerns
• Track and report monthly HR metrics such as attendance, turnover, and hiring activity
• Maintain training matrices to ensure regulatory and certification compliance
• Monitor hourly employee attendance and vacation usage and issue corrective actions as appropriate
• Act as an advisor and coach on sensitive, confidential, and complex HR matters
• Ensure compliance with company policies, employment laws, and human rights regulations
• Assist with health and safety initiatives, workers’ compensation, and STD/LTD programs

Requirements

• Strong working knowledge of all core HR disciplines, including recruitment, performance management, employee relations, learning and development, compensation, and health and safety
• Previous experience in an ISO/TS 16949 manufacturing environment strongly preferred
• Automotive manufacturing industry experience required
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact at all organizational levels
• Ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism and discretion
• Collaborative, proactive, and results-oriented mindset
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
