Lead Buyer Job in Bridgeport, WV

Pay: Up to $20 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Location: Bridgeport, West Virginia

Our client in Bridgeport, WV is hiring a Lead Buyer to oversee non-product purchasing, procurement operations, vendor management, and inventory coordination in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Lead Buyer Responsibilities

• Manage non-product procurement and purchasing requests
• Create Requests for Purchase (RFPs) and obtain internal approvals
• Create, issue, and track purchase orders (POs) to approved vendors
• Maintain and manage vendor relationships and supplier accounts
• Research suppliers and obtain competitive pricing and quotes
• Maintain purchasing accounts with Vallen, CDW, HAAS, Uline, Boeing, and Univar
• Create, manage, and close blanket purchase orders annually
• Direct and monitor fuel orders
• Coordinate with the Non-Product Storeroom to manage chemical inventory
• Ensure all chemical purchases receive EMOC and Pratt Quality approval
• Verify all non-product purchases meet quality and compliance standards
• Work with Finance to resolve invoices, GRIR reports, and discrepancies
• Obtain Certificates of Conformance when required
• Resolve vendor, pricing, or delivery issues as needed
• Work overtime as necessary to meet operational demands

Required Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• 2+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, buying, or supply chain (preferred)
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently as a self-starter
• Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
• U.S. work authorization required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
• Frequent sitting with occasional walking, standing, and climbing
• Normal manual dexterity
