Facilities Maintenance Technician

Located in Round Rock, TX

Salary: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour/ DOE

A well-established organization in the Central Texas area is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance and repair of a growing and diverse facility portfolio. This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on maintenance experience who take pride in quality work, safety, and providing excellent internal customer service.

 

Schedule:

• Primarily 4 days / 10-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 5:30 PM)
• Holiday weeks may require a modified schedule

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour/ DOE

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inspections, repairs, and general building maintenance
• Assist with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and painting tasks
• Operate power tools and maintenance equipment safely
• Complete preventive maintenance and work orders using a computerized system
• Move and set up furniture, equipment, and materials as needed
• Provide professional customer service and follow all safety procedures
• Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours or emergency needs

 

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1–2 years of experience in facility maintenance or a related field
  (Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered)
• Working knowledge of general building maintenance, construction practices, and building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical)
• Ability to read basic diagrams or blueprints
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

 

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and push/pull heavier objects as needed
• Ability to climb ladders and work in confined or elevated spaces
• Work performed indoors and outdoors, including non-climate-controlled environments
• Exposure to weather conditions, mechanical equipment, and maintenance-related chemicals
• Position may be designated safety-sensitive and subject to applicable screening requirements
