Express Employment Professionals is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Material Planning Analyst for our client in the city of Vernon, CA. In this pivotal role, you will drive the efficiency of our materials management processes by helping to develop accurate production schedules, managing inventory levels, and coordinating with our overseas suppliers and internal teams.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, with flexibility after 5:00pm to ensure productive communication with Asian suppliers (+16 hours).

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00, depending on experience

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and maintenance of comprehensive material plans aligned with production schedules, demand forecasts, and inventory targets.
• Collaborate closely with our internal team and our overseas suppliers to ensure timely receipt of components, and supplies necessary to support our retail and distribution operations.
• Monitor inventory levels across warehouses and supplier sites, implementing inventory control strategies to minimize excess stock and prevent shortages.
• Coordinate with suppliers to manage lead times, delivery schedules, and contract terms, ensuring reliable supply chain performance.
• Utilize tools to analyze demand data, forecast future needs, and adjust plans proactively.

Requirements

• Bilingual REQUIRED (English & Mandarin)
• Must be able to handle overseas operational times (16 hours ahead of CA)
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, purchasing strategies, and supplier management practices.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data from various sources including contracts, inventory reports, and production schedules.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating across departments including procurement, logistics, and suppliers.
