Quality Engineer - Aerospace

Salary: $100,000+ per year (DOE)

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to lead product and process quality initiatives within a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a quality professional who thrives on continuous improvement, root-cause analysis, and ensuring compliance with the highest aerospace industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive product and process quality across machining and manufacturing operations
• Ensure aerospace components meet customer, regulatory, and industry requirements
• Lead root-cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventive actions
• Develop and maintain inspection plans and quality documentation
• Support and maintain compliance with AS9100 quality management standards
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to improve performance and reduce nonconformances
• Analyze quality metrics and utilize data-driven decision-making to support continuous improvement initiatives
• Interface with customers and support quality audits as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3-5+ years of experience in aerospace machining, precision manufacturing, or quality engineering
• Strong knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and aerospace blueprint interpretation
• Experience with AS9100, AS9102, and aerospace customer quality requirements
• Proficiency with precision measuring equipment and inspection methodologies
• Familiarity with CMM operation and/or programming (PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar) is highly preferred
• Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC), capability studies, and quality data analysis
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, ERP/MRP systems, and digital quality management tools
