Summary:

Direct Care Staff have the opportunity to directly impact minors/teenage girls on a day to day basis. Through the knowledge and understanding of the needs of children served, direct care staff will be able to set behavioral limits, provide stability, encourage the development of life skills, model a healthy approach to respond to problems in life, and create a successful transition into adulthood. 

 

Duties:

Providing adequate care and direct supervision of minors/NMDS

Ensuring the health and safety of minors at all times

Assisting in handling problems when they arise, whether individually or in a group setting needed.

Assisting with ensuring the minors have access to core services and supports.

Ensuring daily activities are provided to the minors

Identifying needs for additional services, such as emotional, social, and behavioral supports.

Documenting the progress and/ concerns of the minors

Communication identifying concerns to professional staff.

Reporting to the facility manager and making recommendations to address identified problems
