Quality Manager (DIRECT HIRE) – $33/hour + DOE

Summary – We are urgently hiring a Quality Manager for a manufacturing company located in Long Beach, CA. As Quality Manager, you guide all quality processes, support customers with any issues or claims, lead the Quality team, and work closely with plant management to keep everything running smoothly.

 

Key Responsibilities:

·         Train and manage Quality Control Technicians to meet SOP standards.

·         Oversee all QC processes, ensuring products meet PPAP and control‑plan requirements.

·         Complete and communicate quality dispositions promptly.

·         Maintain calibration and ensure all measurement and testing equipment is compliant.

·         Ensure technicians are properly trained and consistently performing required tests.

·         Maintain workmanship standards and support continuous improvement.

·         Manage QA systems to meet customer and internal quality requirements across all shifts.

·         Ensure all approved products have complete and accessible QA documentation.

·         Maintain QA testing requirements, including SPC entries and updates.

·         Build strong relationships with customer quality teams.

·         Support ongoing quality improvements and VAVE initiatives.

 

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, or a minimum of 5 years in a Quality Manager/Supervisory position.

·         Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.

·         Strong manufacturing knowledge; plastics experience is a plus.

·         Able to thrive in a fast‑paced, changing environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities.

·         Physical abilities: Includes manual dexterity, coordinated hand and finger use, lifting over 50 lbs, bending, kneeling, reaching in multiple directions, climbing steps or ladders, moving safely through various work environments, and distinguishing odors while tolerating strong or unpleasant smells.
