Responsibilities of the Machinist:

• interpret technical blueprints, drawings, and specifications to understand job requirements
• Set up and adjust CNC (Computer Numerical Control) and conventional machines such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drills
• Program, calibrate, and troubleshoot CNC machines to achieve accurate and precise dimensions
• Perform precision machining tasks to fabricate metal and plastic parts according to specifications
• Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance and quality output
• Inspect finished products to verify compliance with quality standards and make any required adjustments
• Maintain and clean machines regularly to ensure their longevity and efficiency
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes and meet production schedules
• Adhere to safety guidelines and company policies to create a secure work environment

 

Qualifications of the Machinist:

• Proven experience as a Machinist or in a similar role with hands-on experience in operating CNC and conventional machinery
• Proficient in reading technical blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings
• Knowledge of CNC programming and troubleshooting
• Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and precision measurement instruments
• Excellent mathematical skills and the ability to make complex calculations
• Detail-oriented with a keen eye for quality and precision
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials and operate machinery for extended periods
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or vocational training is a plus
