Salary: $125k Annually

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Tax Manager for a local accounting firm.

 

Responsibilities

• Review and prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, trusts, and estates
• Research complex tax issues and provide well-reasoned conclusions and recommendations
• Oversee extensions, estimated payments, and tax projections
• Assist with IRS and state tax notices, audits, and correspondence
• Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned clients
• Manage multiple tax engagements simultaneously while meeting deadlines
• Train and mentor junior staff on tax preparation, review techniques, and professional development
• Contribute to hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations and more....

Experience and Education Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• CPA License preferred but not required
• 5-8+ years of public accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of federal and state taxation
• Experience reviewing tax returns and managing client relationships
