Position Overview:
Express Employment Professionals is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Technician (QC Tech) to ensure that materials meet quality standards. This role involves inspecting, testing, and documenting products such as metals, plastics, and paper, while maintaining compliance with safety and company regulations. The QC Tech plays a critical role in maintaining product integrity and supporting efficient operations in the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Material Inspection & Testing: Conduct quality control tests on raw materials and sorted finished products.

• Equipment Operation: Operate and calibrate testing equipment, scales, and potentially heavy machinery such as loaders.

• Data Management: Document test results, log non-conformances, and prepare quality reports.

• Issue Resolution: Identify and report quality deviations, collaborating with production staff to implement corrective actions.

• Compliance & Safety: Adhere to company, OSHA, and federal/state safety and quality standards.

• Yard Operations Support: Assist with customer service, material sorting, traffic flow, and general yard maintenance as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control techniques.

• Ability to operate measurement tools and interpret technical documentation.

• Strong communication, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.

• Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
