Hi‑Lo / Forklift Operator – Revised Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safely operate Hi‑Lo forklifts and other warehouse machinery to move, load, and unload materials, components, and finished goods.
• Support shipping and receiving operations by executing assigned work tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Transport finished goods and components between departments to maintain continuous production flow.
• Perform inventory transactions using warehouse management systems and handheld scanners.
• Maintain accurate inventory records of materials, supplies, and finished goods.
• Inspect products and materials to ensure they meet quality and customer requirements before shipping.
• Assist in the timely processing, staging, and dispatch of orders to ensure on‑time delivery.
• Communicate with internal teams to resolve shipment discrepancies, delays, or damaged goods.
• Follow all company safety procedures, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory guidelines.
• Complete daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs to management.
• Generate basic reports or documentation as required by supervisors.
• Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Hard‑working, dependable, and punctual.
• Strong verbal communication and comprehension skills (Spanish a plus, but not required).
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Forklift Certification required.
• Prior warehouse experience preferred; supervisory experience a plus but not required.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

REQUIRED

• High School Diploma, GED, or one to three years of related warehouse or forklift experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand and walk for most of the workday.
• Ability to safely operate Hi‑Lo forklifts and other warehouse machinery.
