Printing Press Operator

 

Our client, a leader in providing high-quality direct mail printing and marketing solutions is looking for a Printing Press Operator to join their team. The Printing Press Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining printing press equipment to produce printed materials that meet quality standards, production schedules, and customer specifications. This position works Mon-Fri 8AM-4:30Pm and pay starts at $18.00 based on experience. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor printing press equipment (digital, offset, or other presses) to produce direct mail and other printed materials.
• Review job orders, work instructions, and specifications to determine setup requirements.
• Set up presses, including mounting plates, adjusting ink flow, paper feed, and other controls.
• Inspect print quality throughout runs and make necessary adjustments to color, registration, and consistency.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and coordinate with maintenance personnel as needed.
• Maintain accurate production logs and records.

Job Qualifications: 

• Previous experience operating printing press equipment (offset, digital or related).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret job orders, production specs, and blueprints.
• Good color perception and attention to detail.
• Basic math skills for calibrations and measurements.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Familiarity with press-related software and digital workflows.
