New Patient Referral Coordinator

Located in Tyler, TX

Salary: up to $16.00/hr

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a New Patient Referral Coordinator for a Tyler, Tx Clinic! We are a full-service Staffing Firm where we work with companies in East Texas who have openings they are looking to fill with great talent we find for them!

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate all new patient referral requests and re-referrals for patients not seen within the past 3 years

• Process all referrals promptly, in accordance with current procedures and documentation standards

• Review medical records and provider notes to schedule new or re-referral appointments based on CKC physician recommendations

• Communicate effectively with referring offices, patients, and internal departments to ensure clear and timely updates

• Maintain accurate records of referral status and follow up as needed to ensure continuity of care

• Uphold privacy standards and follow HIPAA guidelines at all times

• Collaborate with the L&R team to support department goals and contribute to a positive patient experience

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or medical office training preferred

• Experience in a healthcare setting or referral coordination strongly preferred

• Familiarity with medical terminology and EMR systems (e.g., Epic, eClinicalWorks, etc.)

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Clear and professional communication skills

• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism

• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple referral cases simultaneously
