Recruiter Job Description

As a Recruiter, you will be responsible for sourcing, interviewing, and placing candidates in temporary, temp-to-hire, and direct-hire positions. You will work closely with local businesses to meet their hiring needs while helping job seekers find meaningful employment.

Recruiter Responsibilities

• Recruit, screen, interview, and place candidates for open positions

• Source candidates using job boards, referrals, social media, and networking

• Conduct interviews and skills assessments to ensure job fit

• Manage onboarding, orientation, and employment paperwork

• Maintain strong relationships with candidates and clients

• Track candidate activity using an applicant tracking system (ATS)

• Support retention by maintaining ongoing communication with placed associates

• Represent Express Employment Professionals professionally in the community

Recruiter Qualifications

• Previous experience in recruiting, staffing, HR, sales, or customer service preferred

• Strong communication, interviewing, and relationship-building skills

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced staffing environment

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

• Comfortable using computers, ATS systems, and office software

• Motivated, dependable, and team-oriented

Recruiter Compensation & Benefits

• $50,000–$75,000 total compensation (base salary + performance incentives)
