Job Summary
Premier company in Utica is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources Assistant Coordinator for a temporary-to-permanent position. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in managing various HR functions, supporting organizational growth, and ensuring compliance with employment laws. Responsibilities:

  • Welcome New Talent
  • Deliver engaging and informative orientation sessions that set the tone for a positive employee experience.
  • Ensure excellence in onboarding by coordinating all aspects of the process—partnering with hiring managers to coordinate all first day details, collaborating with payroll and HRIS teams for accurate setup, and working with training and facilities to guarantee a smooth transition for new hires.
  • Serve as the voice of HR by keeping employees informed and connected.
  • Curate and update content for communication boards, digital monitors, and internal platforms, ensuring messages are timely, accurate, and aligned with company values.
  • Act as a resource for employees seeking clarity on procedures, programs, and site updates.
  • Design and execute site-wide engagement initiatives that strengthen community and inclusion.
  • Organize events such as town halls, benefits fairs, celebrations, and recognition programs, managing logistics, vendor coordination, and communication to deliver memorable experiences that reflect the Company's culture.
  • Support continuous development by managing training logistics from start to finish.
  • Schedule sessions, send reminders, track attendance, and assist leaders in maintaining compliance with regulatory and company standards.
  • Ensure training resources are accessible and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Lead recognition programs that honor employee contributions and achievements.
  • Coordinate service anniversary celebrations, new hire welcomes, and awards programs, ensuring every detail reflects appreciation and reinforces a culture of recognition.
  • Act as the primary HR point of contact for employee questions and concerns, providing guidance and support with empathy and professionalism.
  • Ensure fairness and consistency in communications and events across all shifts, fostering an inclusive environment where every team member feels informed and valued.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Associate degree considered with relevant experience.
  • Certifications such as SHRM-CP or PHR are a plus.
  • 2+ years in HR or administrative support, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, Kronos) and payroll processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work across shifts and departments.
  • Collaborative spirit and passion for creating inclusive, high-impact experiences.
