We’re looking for reliable, hands‑on candidates to join a multi‑department production team that includes welding, saw‑cutting, and powder‑coating operations. This role supports several key stages of metal fabrication, including operating semi‑automatic steel saws to cut iron angles, tubes, and rods to print specifications; loading materials with cranes or forklifts; reading blueprints; and using basic math and tape‑measure skills to maintain proper tolerances. In the powder‑coating department, the position rotates between washing parts, hanging parts, and applying powder coatings while wearing provided PPE such as safety glasses, gloves, dust masks, and powder‑application suits. The welding portion involves assisting with production welding tasks, assembling metal components, following print requirements, and supporting equipment setup or adjustments as needed. Schedule

  • 1st Shift
  • 2nd Shift ($1 shift differential)
  • Weekend Shift (12‑hour schedule)

Additional Details

  • Flexible shift times available to accommodate individual schedules
  • Overtime offered as needed

Pay

  • $18-19/hr.
  • Potential for higher pay depending on experience
  • Weekly paychecks every Friday 

Welder Responsibilities

  • Assemble and weld metal components according to blueprints and work instructions
  • Adjust welding equipment for proper weld size, penetration, and quality
  • Perform production welding on a variety of small and large metal parts
  • Inspect welds for accuracy and structural integrity
  • Maintain welding tools and equipment, reporting issues as needed
  • Follow safety procedures, including PPE use and safe handling of materials
  • Work collaboratively with the fabrication team to meet production goal

Saw‑Cutting Operator Responsibilities

  • Operate semi‑automatic steel saws to cut iron angles, tubes, and rods
  • Load and unload materials using cranes or forklifts
  • Read and interpret blueprints and cut sheets
  • Use basic math and a tape measure to verify tolerances and dimensions
  • Inspect cut parts for accuracy and quality
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area around saw equipment
  • Follow all safety procedures related to material handling and cutting operation

Powder Coating Applicator Responsibilities

  • Rotate between washing parts, hanging parts, and applying powder coatings
  • Operate within a full powder‑coating cycle, following process standards
  • Wear required PPE including safety glasses, gloves, dust masks, and powder‑application suits
  • Inspect parts before and after coating to ensure proper coverage and finish quality
  • Maintain clean workstations and equipment used in the coating process
  • Follow safety guidelines for handling powders and operating application equipment
  • Support team rotation and production flow throughout the powder‑coating department  

Skills and Qualifications

  • Hands‑on mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn welding, saw‑cutting, and powder‑coating
  • Ability to read or learn to read blueprints, follow instructions, and use basic math for measurements
  • Comfortable using hand and power tools, tape measures, and basic fabrication equipment
  • Ability to inspect parts for accuracy, quality, and proper tolerances
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work with metal components
  • Understanding of safety procedures and willingness to wear required PPE
  • Familiarity with material handling (crane/forklift) or willingness to be trained
  • Basic knowledge of MIG welding, weld setup, and metal preparation (grinding, cleaning)
  • Reliable, team‑oriented, and able to rotate between tasks as needed
  • Any experience level is welcome — training provided for the right candidate
