We’re looking for a motivated candidate to join a first‑shift welding team with a family‑owned operation in Goodhue, MN. Any experience level is acceptable — they are willing to train the right person. This role involves production welding in a small job‑shop environment, working alongside a team to build a wide range of small and large metal parts. Key responsibilities include adjusting welding equipment for proper weld size and penetration, assembling and welding various metal components, following print specifications, and maintaining or troubleshooting welding equipment as needed.

Schedule

• 1st Shift 6am-2:30pm (Shift time is flexible)
• O/T as needed

Pay

• $18-19/hr.
• Potential for higher pay depending on experience
• Weekly paychecks every Friday 

Responsibilities

• Adjust welding equipment to achieve proper weld size, penetration, and quality
• Assemble and weld a wide variety of metal parts
• Follow print and blueprint specifications to assemble components and complete welds accurately
• Maintain and troubleshoot welding equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
• Operate CNC laser and plasma cutting equipment to run cutting programs and nests
• Sort, label, and package steel component parts
• Use handheld power tools to clean, grind, and deburr steel parts
• Operate rollers and press brakes to form steel components
• Measure and inspect parts using tape measures, calipers, and other precision tools
• Prepare parts for finishing, including racking, washing, and unloading items for powder coating
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods
• Work collaboratively with the fabrication team to meet production goals and quality standards

Skills and Qualifications

• Ability to adjust welding equipment for proper weld size, penetration, and overall quality
• Skilled in MIG welding (GMAW) and basic welding processes
• Ability to assemble and weld a wide variety of metal parts and components
• Capable of following blueprints, prints, and weld specifications accurately
• Understanding of weld symbols and fabrication drawings
• Proficient with hand and power tools, including grinders, drills, and saws
• Experience with metal preparation, such as grinding, cleaning, and deburring
• Familiarity with press brakes, rollers, and CNC cutting equipment (helpful but not required)
• Ability to measure accurately using tape measures, calipers, and other precision tools
• Skilled in maintaining and troubleshooting welding equipment
• Comfortable working in a production or job‑shop environment
• Able to work with small and large metal components
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high‑quality welds
• Reliable, team‑oriented, and able to work independently when needed
• Willingness to learn, take direction, and maintain a safety‑focused mindset
• Any experience level is acceptable — training is available for the right candidate
