8 am - 4 pm

The Mold Set-Up Technician is responsible for installing, setting up, and removing molds in molding machines to ensure safe, efficient, and quality production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform mold changeovers, set-ups, and tear-downs according to work orders and production schedules

  • Install molds using overhead cranes, hoists, forklifts, or mold-handling equipment

  • Connect and disconnect water lines, hydraulics, air lines, and electrical connections

  • Set and verify machine parameters (temperature, pressure, cycle time, clamp force, etc.)

  • Start up machines and troubleshoot basic molding issues (short shots, flash, part defects)

  • Conduct first-article inspections and make necessary adjustments

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience in mold setup or  injection molding

  • Basic understanding of molding processes and machine operation

  • Ability to read work instructions, setup sheets, and basic blueprints

  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

  • Ability to read and to express oneself verbally in English with clarity  on a face to face basis.
