We are hiring an Automotive Service Technician for a busy, well-established auto shop in St Joe, IL. This role is ideal for a lube tech or mechanic who wants steady work and hands-on experience.

What You’ll Do

• Perform routine vehicle maintenance including oil changes, fluid checks, and filter replacements.

• Inspect vehicles and identify basic mechanical issues.

• Replace brakes, pads, rotors, belts, hoses, and other wear components.

• Rotate and balance tires; perform basic suspension and steering checks.

• Use hand tools and shop equipment safely and efficiently.

• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow shop procedures.

• Communicate findings clearly with service advisors or lead technicians.

What We’re Looking For

• Mechanical aptitude and interest in automotive repair.

• Previous experience as a lube tech, tire tech, or auto mechanic preferred.

• Own Tools and Valid Driver's License.

• Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn.

• Comfortable standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

• Own basic hand tools preferred.

• Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
