Job Description

Express Employment Professionals is hiring CDL Class A Drivers for local delivery and warehouse support roles in the Greensboro and High Point, NC areas. This is a full-time, 1st shift opportunity offering strong pay, steady hours, and no overnight routes.

We are seeking experienced, safety-focused drivers who are comfortable operating both manual and automatic Class A vehicles and assisting with hands-on warehouse and material handling tasks.

Responsibilities

As a CDL Class A Driver, your responsibilities will include:

Safely operating Class A commercial vehicles (manual or automatic transmissions).
Completing local delivery routes only (home daily).
Assisting with loading and unloading freight, including heavy lifting.
Operating forklifts and material handling equipment as needed.
Planning efficient delivery routes and meeting scheduled delivery times.
Securing loads properly and verifying shipment accuracy.
Completing pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
Maintaining DOT compliance and safe driving practices.
Communicating professionally with customers and internal teams.
Keeping vehicles clean and reporting mechanical issues promptly.

Requirements

Valid CDL Class A license required.
Experience driving either manual and automatic transmissions.
Ability to lift and move heavy materials consistently.
Forklift experience preferred.
Clean MVR and ability to pass pre-employment screening.
Strong route planning and time-management skills.
Reliable attendance and consistent work history (tenure required).
Safety-conscious with strong attention to detail.

Skills & Qualifications

Local route delivery experience.
Load securement and material handling knowledge.
Forklift and warehouse support experience.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and stay on schedule.

Shifts & Hours

Full-Time, Monday – Friday.
No overnight routes
Overtime may be available based on workload

Locations: Local Deliveries

Pay & Benefits

$20.00 – $25.00 per hour, based on experience.
Weekly pay through Express Employment Professionals.
