Job Description

Express Employment Professionals is hiring Manufacturing Associates for multiple reputable clients in the Greensboro and High Point, NC areas. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for skilled, driven professionals who bring strong technical ability, hands-on experience, and proven work history.

This role is intentionally broad to capture multi-skilled manufacturing talent — including candidates with backgrounds in maintenance, electrical, production, assembly, logistics, and engineering support. We are seeking tenured, reliable individuals who take pride in quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

As a Manufacturing Associate, responsibilities may include (based on skillset and placement):

Production & Assembly

Assembling components using hand and power tools.
Performing kitting, torque/fastener work, and sub-assembly tasks.
Reading and following blueprints, work instructions, and basic GD&T.
Supporting production lines and meeting daily output and quality goals.

Maintenance / Technical Support

Assisting with or performing industrial maintenance tasks.
Supporting electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and calibration activities.

Supply Chain / Logistics

Supporting inventory control, cycle counting, material flow, and staging.
Operating forklifts and reach trucks as needed.
Assisting with shipping & receiving, order verification, and documentation.
Supporting planners, buyers, or expediters in material coordination.

Engineering & Quality Support

Assisting manufacturing or industrial engineers with process improvements.
Supporting quality engineers or tooling technicians with inspections or setups.
Assisting with documentation, measurements, and corrective actions.

Requirements

Prior experience in manufacturing, industrial, or technical environments required.
Backgrounds welcomed from:
- Electricians
- Industrial Maintenance Technicians
- Maintenance Mechanics
- Instrumentation / Calibration Techs
- PLC Troubleshooting Technicians
- Millwrights
- HVAC (large facilities)
- Assemblers / Production Techs
- Supply Chain / Logistics Professionals
- Engineering Support Roles
Ability to read blueprints and work instructions.
Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills.
Comfortable with physical work, standing, bending, and lifting as required.
Tenured work history strongly preferred (stability and reliability required).
Safety-focused mindset and attention to detail.

Skills & Qualifications

Hands-on manufacturing and technical experience.
Familiarity with industrial tools, fasteners, torque specs, and measurements.
Basic understanding of GD&T a plus.
Forklift / reach truck experience preferred.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to adapt across departments and roles.

Shifts & Hours

Full-Time, Monday – Friday
Schedules: specific hours vary by client
Overtime may be available based on production needs

Locations: Greensboro, NC & High Point, NC

Pay & Benefits

$17.00 – $19.00 per hour, based on experience and skillset.
Weekly pay through Express Employment Professionals.
