Production Supervisor Job Summary:

A manufacturing organization in Wyoming, MI is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead and support manufacturing and assembly operations. This role is responsible for supervising production team members, planning and assigning work, and ensuring production goals related to safety, quality, cost, delivery, and morale are achieved. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong people management skills, a continuous improvement mindset, and experience thriving in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Production Supervisor Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead production team members in a manufacturing and assembly environment
• Plan, assign, and prioritize daily work to meet production schedules and operational goals
• Foster effective employee relations through coaching, development, and performance management
• Make employment-related decisions and resolve employee issues through structured problem-solving
• Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive operational results
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to processes, equipment, and working conditions
• Manage departmental performance metrics, including visual controls, and provide regular updates to leadership
• Lead department activities using a structured 30-day planning cycle
• Conduct accident investigations and support safety initiatives
• Manage departmental priorities and adjust as operational needs change
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support plant operations

Schedule & Compensation:

• Schedule: Full-Time, Salaried, Exempt
• Pay: $60,000–$70,000 per year, based on experience

Qualifications & Skills:

Required:

• Associate’s degree
• 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• Proven leadership experience supervising hourly production employees
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage performance, solve problems, and drive results
• Solid time management and organizational skills
• Results-driven mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement
