Job Summary

Our client in Wickliffe is seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Maintenance Helper to assist our Maintenance Department with daily tasks. The ideal candidate will have basic mechanical knowledge, be familiar with common tools and their uses, and understand grease, oil, and hydraulic fluids. This position requires working in varying environmental conditions and supporting maintenance operations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist maintenance personnel with repairs, preventative maintenance, and general upkeep

• Use hand tools and basic power tools safely and correctly

• Handle and identify grease, oil, and hydraulic fluids

• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and organizing equipment

• Help maintain a clean and safe work environment

• Follow safety procedures and company policies

• Perform other duties as assigned by the maintenance supervisor

Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined with basic understanding of tools and equipment

• Knowledge of grease, oil, and hydraulic fluids

• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

• Willingness to learn and take direction

• Reliable and punctual

Work Schedule

• Training Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

• Regular start time may vary after training

• Earliest possible start time: 6:00 AM

Work Environment

• Work may be performed indoors and outdoors

• Exposure to the elements; no heat in certain areas

• Shop temperature is the same as outside temperature

• Must be able to work in varying weather and temperature conditions

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift as required

• Ability to handle tools and equipment safely
