The HVAC Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This role ensures systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Install, inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ventilation systems
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and perform necessary repairs
Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
Test HVAC systems for proper operation and efficiency
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal HVAC codes and safety regulations
Respond to service calls and provide timely, professional customer service
Maintain accurate service records and documentation
Recommend system improvements or replacements when necessary
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school training
Proven experience as an HVAC Technician
Knowledge of HVAC systems, tools, and diagnostic equipment
Understanding of electrical, refrigeration, and mechanical principles
EPA certification (Type I, II, or Universal) required
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
