Carpenter | Decatur, IL | 8:00AM – 4:30PM | Monday – Friday | $25.00/hr

 

A local printing company is seeking an Carpenter. This company is a one-stop provider of digital and offset printing services, signs, graphics, banners and decals in central Illinois.

 

Qualifications for Carpenter

• Carpentry experience
• Strong understanding of carpentry techniques and installation methods
• Proficiency with hand tool, power tools, and measuring instruments
• Careful attention to detail
• Good manual dexterity
• Previous skilled trades experience
• Previous service call type experience is preferred
• Ability to stand throughout the day
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift at least 50#

 

Responsibilities for Carpenter

• Utilize blueprints and job specifications for projects
• Determine materials and tools needed
• Assemble frames and supports for graphics
• Transport materials to job sites
• Install signage, trim, and hardware on site at customer locations
• Erect and mount fixtures and finished products
• Inspect finished work for and defects and make necessary repairs
• Assemble trade booths
• Build shipping dunnage
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working order
• Communicate with customers
