Position Overview

Express Employment Professionals – Forest Lake is seeking qualified and motivated candidates for Machinist II openings in Pine City, MN. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are highly skilled in machining, detail‑oriented, and eager to grow within a precision‑focused manufacturing environment.

Pay & Schedule

• Hourly Pay: Starting at $21.50/hour (second shift includes pay differential)

• First Shift: Monday–Thursday 6:00AM–3:00PM, Friday 6:00AM–12:00PM

• Second Shift: Monday–Thursday 2:45PM–1:15AM

• Pay Frequency: Weekly

• Employment Type: Evaluation-to-Hire

• Location: Pine City, MN

• Screening: No drug screen; background check required

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate machine tools and advanced tooling for precision machining operations

• Work from drawings, schematics, and blueprints using turning machines, boring/drilling machines, grinders, and lathes

• Measure, examine, and test completed units using precision instruments such as micrometers

• Align and secure fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines

• Monitor machine feed and speed throughout the machining process

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of CNC operations, including complex setups and troubleshooting

• Ability to ensure quality standards are met through accurate machining practices

• 5–8 years machining experience, including inspection tool and machine shop experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

• Strong critical thinking, organization, and attention to detail

Physical Requirements

• Work performed in loud production environment with extreme temperatures

• Standing for 90% of the shift

• Frequent bending, twisting, squatting, and lifting with arms extended

• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs; average part weight 5–15 lbs

• Strong manual dexterity required

Equipment Used

• CNC machinery and advanced machining tools

• Precision measurement instruments such as micrometers

• Various machine shop equipment requiring complex setups
