Job Summary
Express Employment Professionals is seeking a motivated, customer-focused Inside Sales Associate to join a growing and innovative organization in the energy solutions industry. This role blends inside sales, customer success, and technical support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys relationship-building while working in a technical environment.
The Inside Sales Associate serves as a key point of contact for customers—answering questions, managing orders, supporting projects, and collaborating closely with internal teams such as Engineering, Production, Marketing, and Quality. A background or familiarity with electrical systems or DC power products is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing?? through proactive communication
- Serve as the primary liaison between customers and internal departments
Sales Support & Growth
- Partner with Outside Sales and Account Managers to support upselling, cross-selling, and new business development
- Prepare proposals, cost estimates, and basic technical presentations
Order & Project Management
- Process sales and purchase orders accurately and efficiently
- Support new program development and manage ongoing projects
Technical Support
- Provide basic technical assistance for products such as batteries, chargers, and inverters
- Clearly communicate customer requirements to engineering teams
Customer Success & Process Improvement
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and in a timely manner
- Identify opportunities to improve internal processes and workflows
Market & Industry Insight
- Research industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies
- Stay current on standards and innovations in energy storage and power systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in inside sales, account management, or customer success
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Analytical problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across teams
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with DC systems, electricity, batteries, chargers, and inverters
- Experience with NetSuite, Freshdesk, or similar CRM/customer support platforms
- Experience with ISO procedures or quality systems
- Ability to interpret basic technical documentation and work with engineers
- Motivated to learn and grow in a technical environment
