Job Opportunity: Senior Transaction Manager – Renewable Energy
Location: San Antonio, Texas (Relocation Required)

Company Overview:
A well-established renewable energy developer and owner-operator of battery energy storage and solar assets, with over a decade of successful project development and operations.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a high-energy, goal-oriented professional with significant transactional experience in the renewable energy sector. The primary responsibility will be to lead the divestitures of projects under development (pre-construction opportunities), with a secondary focus on originating new project opportunities. The ideal candidate thrives in a deadline-driven environment and can manage cross-functional teams to achieve results.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Divestitures

• Prepare offering materials for the sale or financing of battery energy storage and solar PV projects.

• Lead outreach to potential buyers, leveraging industry networks and existing company relationships.

• Manage data rooms to ensure timely and accurate delivery of project information.

• Support buyers’ due diligence with prompt responses to inquiries and information requests.

• Lead contract negotiations to ensure profitable and timely completion of assigned transactions.

2. Other Transactions (e.g., PPAs, Build Transfer Agreements, Tolling Agreements)

• Prepare and submit high-quality proposals for new contracts.

• Coordinate cross-functional internal and external teams to ensure accurate, timely, and competitive submissions.

• Provide pricing recommendations in collaboration with financial analysts, including assumptions and rationale.

• Lead contract negotiations for new agreements.

3. Reporting

• Collaborate with senior management to prepare weekly and monthly transaction and performance reports.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.

• 5+ years of experience in transactional roles within independent power, utilities, or renewable energy sectors.

• Preferred experience with financial modeling, tax equity partnership flip structures, and battery energy storage projects.

Professional Qualities:

• Significant transaction experience; goal-oriented and high-energy.

• Ability to balance big-picture strategy with detailed transaction management.

• Self-starter capable of independently driving projects and motivating internal and external resources.

• Strong interpersonal, written, verbal, and presentation skills; comfortable working across multi-functional teams and with senior leadership.

Other Requirements:

• Willingness to relocate to San Antonio, Texas.

• Travel required, including potential international travel.

• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
