STAINLESS STEEL WELDER / FABRICATOR (Direct Hire)

 

Role Overview

The Stainless Steel Welder/Fabricator is responsible for full-cycle fabrication of custom and production parts using mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. This role requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision while accurately following blueprints, sketches, work instructions, or physical samples.

 

Logistics & Compensation

  • Employment Type: Direct Hire – Permanent position
  • Shift: 1st Shift (No nights or weekends)
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday with an early out on Fridays
  • Hours: 40–42 hours per week
  • Pay: $27.50 – $29.50 per hour, based on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Welding & Fabrication: Set up and perform TIG, MIG, and laser welding on mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
  • Equipment Operation: Operate fabrication equipment, including saws, cutting torches, presses, and ironworkers
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret drawings, sketches, samples, and work instructions
  • Material Preparation: Measure, cut, clean, and prepare materials for fabrication
  • Material Handling: Safely operate hoists, cranes, pallet jacks, and carts to move materials and finished products

Qualifications

  • Welding Experience: Prior TIG welding experience required, with a strong focus on stainless steel and aluminum
  • Fabrication Equipment: Experience operating saws, plasma torches, presses, and related metal fabrication machinery
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to read, write, and understand English
  • Compliance: Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
