Shipping & Receiving Clerk

Salary: $15.00 / hr

Job Description:

Express Employment Professionals of Clarksville is currently seeking reliable, industrious, and efficient candidates for a Shipping and Receiving Clerk position with a Fast-Growing Tubing Manufacturer. This position will pay $15.00 per hour, and the hours are M-F from 7:30 A.M.-4:00 P.M.

Responsibilities:

• Pack orders based on packing instructions with accurate counting and following packing requirements
• Utilize forklift to move products
• May drive 20 foot box truck if experienced
• Enter into the system the correct information to acknowledge receipt and shipment of goods.
• Complete bills of lading
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with Company procedures, rules and regulations
• Good attitude, performance, and attendance is essential

Qualifications:

• Capable of working overtime as needed
• Experience driving a forklift is preferred but not required. Company will forklift test and certify.
• Capable of interpreting packing slips.
• Capable of lifting and moving up to 50 lbs.
• Available to work overtime when needed
• Capable of reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
• Demonstrates the ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• Capable of writing routine reports and correspondence
• Demonstrates the ability to work independently and with other members of the team
• Capable of standing/walking on concrete for the entire shift
• Capable of working in a temperature controlled environment
• Capable of complying with all Safety requirements including the use of PPE: PPE includes but is not limited to safety glasses or side shields
