We are currently seeking an experienced MACHINIST FOR MANUAL AND CNC !
First Shift
South Clearwater
Pay is based on experience.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sets up and runs manual and CNC equipment.
- Follows manufacturing work instructions and complete all required documentation including Inspection Report.
- Install and properly align all fixtures and tooling required to set-up new and repeat jobs.
- Prove-out new CNC programs and processes.
- Properly utilize all necessary gauges and equipment to properly perform in-process inspection.
- Keep supervisor aware of any condition that may affect the efficiency, quality, or completion of jobs.
- Assist in training other personnel in safe and proper operating procedures of equipment.
- Deburrs, cleans and packages parts as required.
- Ensures nonconforming parts are identified, segregated and prevented from inadvertent use.
- Assist in maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of the machine.
- Be aware of the importance of due dates and must be flexible to changing priorities.
- Performs daily maintenance on machinery, including cleaning and assists with or performs periodic maintenance.
- Operates within ISO requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned or directed.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Ability to perform tasks efficiently with little or no supervision.
- Positive attitude to follow instructions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong mechanical and mathematical skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of GD+T specifications and blueprints.
- Ability to set up and run machinery including manual and CNC equipment, primarily lathes and mills.
- Ability to use common measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers and indicators.
- Ability to perform common tool sharpening for lathes, mills and drills.
- Working knowledge of PC applications including Microsoft Outlook and Word.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Willingness to comply with internal safety and 5S Standards.
- Basic knowledge of PC applications (Ex.: Microsoft, Excel, Outlook…).
- Understanding of ISO requirements.
EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or equivalent required. A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in machining or a graduate of a two (2) year vocational machining program. Experience and training is to include setup and running of CNC and manual lathes and mills.
SHIFT: Monday - Friday 6 am to 2:30 pm
