Senior Accountant / Supervisor–Manager

Overview
Our client is a boutique, full-service public accounting firm based in Toronto, providing accounting, tax, and advisory services to both corporate and individual clients. They support clients throughout the entire business lifecycle and serve a diverse portfolio across industries including healthcare, legal, real estate, retail, manufacturing, and professional services.

The firm is currently seeking a Senior Accountant and a Supervisor/Manager to join their North York office. These roles are key members of the engagement team and offer strong exposure to year-end reporting, tax compliance, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, analyze, and review year-end financial statements and supporting working papers
• Prepare corporate tax returns (T2), including all required schedules
• Prepare personal tax returns and assist with tax planning engagements
• Ensure compliance with Canadian ASPE and appropriate financial statement disclosure
• Mentor and support junior accounting staff, contributing to their professional development
• Manage multiple engagements and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced public practice environment

Qualifications

• CPA designation or significant progress toward completion
• Minimum 2 years of recent Canadian public accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of ASPE and financial statement preparation
• Proficiency with Caseware and Taxprep/Profile
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and results-driven
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $80,000 – $100,000 per year (commensurate with experience)
