Maintenance Technician – Apartment Community (on the island) (Temp-to-Hire)

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician with apartment maintenance and HVAC experience for a residential apartment community. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity offering competitive pay based on experience.

Pay Rate: $18.00–$23.00 DOE
Schedule: Full-time
Position Type: Temp-to-Hire

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform general maintenance throughout the apartment community

• Complete light electrical and fixture repairs

• Perform basic plumbing repairs, including changing out garbage disposals

• Assist with HVAC maintenance and troubleshooting (certification not required)

• Complete make-ready units for new residents

• Perform basic carpentry repairs

• Maintain pools, grounds, and exterior common areas

• Assist housekeeping staff as needed when maintenance duties are complete

• Communicate completed tasks and repairs with the Property Manager in a timely manner

Qualifications:

• Previous apartment maintenance experience required

• Working knowledge of HVAC systems (certification not required)

• Valid driver’s license required

• Reliable transportation required

• Must own basic maintenance tools

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

• Must be able to pass a criminal background check
