MACHINE OPERATOR - PRINTING PRESS OPERATOR  ASSISTANT

Mon-Fri with Saturday Overtime available

Multiple Shifts Available- 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am

$14/hour

The position responsibilities include assisting in the setting up, operating, monitoring, and maintaining high speed of a computerized press to produce quality custom labels.   

The Press Assistant supports the production team by performing a variety of tasks to ensure efficient and continuous press operation. Responsibilities include packaging finished goods, assisting the press operator with job setup and teardown, loading raw materials, and completing general tasks needed to maintain steady workflow and maximize productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Package and prepare finished goods for distribution
• Assist press operator with setup, operation, and teardown of jobs
• Load raw materials and monitor supplies during production
• Perform tasks that help keep the press running smoothly and efficiently
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace

 
You Must Have:
• Mechanical and technical skills/aptitude
• Basic math skills to read ruler and calculate label dimensions for stock optimization
• Ability to operate equipment to obtain proficiency as measured through production and quality standards
• Ability to understand verbal and written instructions for work orders
• Ability to communicate professionally
• Strong attention to detail

Requirements Within This Position:
• Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand
• Constantly operates machinery and handles products including print materials
• Frequently required to move inside the facility
• Regularly move up to 25+ pounds (lift, push, pull and/or carry)- Standing, lifting, bending, walking continuously.

 

We Would Also Prefer:
• Ability to distinguish colors
• Experience in a production related environment
• High school education or equivalent
