The General Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance and minor repairs to ensure facilities are safe, functional, and well maintained. This role supports building operations through hands-on maintenance, basic custodial tasks, and grounds upkeep.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform minor building repairs including painting, patching drywall, and basic carpentry
• Replace light bulbs, air filters, and other routine building components
• Assist with moving furniture, equipment, and supplies
• Provide basic custodial support as needed
• Conduct general grounds maintenance, including snow and ice removal
• Identify maintenance issues and report them to management
• Assist with preventive maintenance tasks
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment

Qualifications

• Experience in general maintenance, facilities, or a related field preferred
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for long periods
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Work Environment

• Indoor and outdoor work as needed
• May require lifting up to 50 lbs
• Exposure to various weather conditions
