Burn Table Operator -

Located in Pendergrass, GA

Salary: $25.00

 

Established custom steel plant in Pendergrass, GA, is seeking machine operators/burn table operators to join their team. The position will focus on flame cutting steel to ensure all parts are cut to the description of the burn sheet.

 

Pay rate: $22-$25/hr 

 

Shift: 1st (7am-3pm Mon-Thurs) 2^nd (4pm-2am Mon-Thurs)

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or combined equivalent experience
• 1 year related experience including machine operation, burn table, or CNC
• Ability to read a tape measurer and perform simple calculations including decimals and fractions

Work Environment:

• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds consistently
• Ability to make repetitive movements
• Ability to stand for entire shift
• Familiarity to manufacturing environment, including exposure to moving particles, non-climate controlled environment, moving machinery, equipment, and loud noise

Job Duties may include:

• Clean and maintain burn machine before shift start and throughout the day
• Load and unload burn table
• Keep documentation as parts are made, including excess materials
• Maximize efficiency of metal use
• Ability to program machine to burn as part of a template
• Measuring grade and thickness of metal prior to using
• Adjust machine as needed
