Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a well-established utilities company in Central Fort Myers to hire a Customer Service Representative for a temp-to-perm opportunity. This is a great role for someone who enjoys helping people, thrives in a fast-paced call center environment, and is looking for long-term stability with excellent benefits.

In this role, you’ll be assisting customers throughout Lee County and across the state of Florida with water utility services. Strong communication, de-escalation skills, and the ability to multitask across multiple screens are key to success.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Assist walk-in customers with new account setup and service questions

• Handle a high volume of inbound calls related to water bills, payments, and account discrepancies

• Calmly de-escalate upset customers and resolve issues professionally and efficiently

• Take detailed notes while speaking with customers and navigating multiple systems

• Maintain accurate customer records and process account updates

• Schedule service orders, terminations, and account changes

• Accept payments, post transactions, and issue receipts

• Determine service charges, arrange billing, and assist with collections

• Work in a structured call center environment, sitting for extended periods

Schedule & Pay

• Hours: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Pay: $19.00/hour

• Bilingual (English/Spanish): $19.50/hour

• Status: Temp-to-perm with strong potential for long-term career growth

What We’re Looking For

• Previous customer service experience (call center experience strongly preferred)

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong de-escalation and problem-solving abilities

• Computer savvy with the ability to work across multiple screens and tabs

• Comfortable multitasking—listening, typing notes, and navigating systems simultaneously

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

• Ability to handle repetitive tasks with accuracy and attention to detail

• High school diploma or equivalent required
