Position Overview

A well-established manufacturing facility in the DeKalb area is seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance operations and lead a team of technicians in a fast-paced production environment. This role is critical to ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and maintaining a safe and compliant facility.

The ideal candidate brings a strong technical background, hands-on maintenance experience, and proven leadership in an industrial or manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, direct and supervise a team of maintenance technicians supporting manufacturing and facility operations

• Develop and manage weekly preventive and corrective maintenance schedules

• Inspect production equipment, machinery, and facility systems to identify maintenance needs

• Perform and oversee maintenance across multiple skilled trades, including:

  • Electrical systems

  • Mechanical and industrial equipment

  • HVAC and plumbing

  • Carpentry and general facility maintenance

• Troubleshoot equipment issues to reduce downtime and support production goals

• Monitor and manage maintenance inventory, tools, and spare parts

• Coordinate maintenance projects, equipment upgrades, and facility improvements

• Ensure compliance with OSHA, safety regulations, and company quality standards

• Support budgeting, cost control, and performance tracking

• Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and reports

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Supervisor, Industrial Maintenance Supervisor, or similar role

• Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing equipment and building systems

• Hands-on experience across electrical, mechanical, and facility maintenance

• Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and best practices

• Understanding of workplace safety standards and OSHA compliance

• Strong leadership, planning, and communication skills

• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, production, or industrial environments

• Experience supervising maintenance teams

• Familiarity with ERP, CMMS or maintenance tracking systems
