Gauge Calibration Technician

Located in Round Rock, TX

A local technical services provider is seeking a Gauge Calibration Technician to join its service and laboratory team. This full-time role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, hands-on, and comfortable working with precision equipment in a lab environment.

The Gauge Calibration Technician will be responsible for calibrating materials testing equipment, preparing compliance documentation, and supporting customers throughout the service process.

 

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday
Pay: Estimated $24.00–$30.00 per hour (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities

·         Perform calibration services for asphalt, soil, and concrete testing equipment

·         Complete full 3-block and 5-block gauge calibrations

·         Prepare accurate calibration reports and documentation for compliance purposes

·         Use proprietary calibration software during testing and documentation

·         Serve as a primary point of contact for customers throughout the service cycle

·         Provide timely updates and support to ensure a positive customer experience

·         Build standard blocks and maintain gauges through cleaning, lubrication, and diagnostics

·         Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory workspace

·         Assist the service team with additional tasks as needed

·         Follow ISO/IEC 17025:2017 calibration standards

 

Qualifications

·         Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

·         Good written and verbal communication skills

·         Customer service–oriented mindset

·         Proficiency with Microsoft Office (spreadsheets, forms, certificates, correspondence)

·         Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

·         Willingness to work in materials labs with asphalt, concrete, and soil

·         Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods

·         Valid driver’s license with a good driving record

·         Ability to travel to North Carolina for several weeks for initial training
