Job Duties:

 

Safety

• Demonstrate proper lifting.

• Read and understand the SOP for moving a pallet, and demonstrate safe pallet moving.

• Understand E-stop +1 for the tape machine.

Set Up

• Set up tape machine, size up belts, and ready the labeler and information that needs to be entered into the computer.

Quality

• Read and understand SOP for printing a pallet ticket.

• Demonstrate the ability to print a pallet ticket with no errors.

• Check PRB papers with schedule and ensure all associated information coordinates before starting a batch.

  • Responsible for checking the information on the product (Line number, Pull Date, Batch Number) and verifying it against the box label, box, and PRB paper.

  • Check to ensure proper boxes are being used.

• Learn and palletize proper tie of boxes with appropriate product.

• Wrap pallet properly with three wraps on the top wrap to ensure boxes are secure for transportation.

• Demonstrate good rework practice (keeping clips and casing out of rework).

Delivery

• Demonstrate ability to palletize independently after the third day of training.

• Be able to print pallet tickets with no errors, with work still verified, after the third day.

• Know the tie and height of each product by the end of the first month.

Communication

• Communicate effectively with the Line Operator on the batch number being produced.

• Communicate with packers about when to stop and start sending boxes and when a batch ends.
