Assembly & Pack (A1375)

Salary: $20.40 per hour

Our client is seeking Assembly & Pack associates in Willoughby, OH for a busy production facility.

•  Pay is $22.05 per hour
• 1st & 2nd Shift 6a2:30p or 2:30pm-11p

 

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Assembly & Production Tasks

• Assemble, pack, wrap, and label units according to production orders, drawings, and specification sheets, ensuring compliance with quality standards.

• Inspect all components for defects or non-compliance and report issues to the supervisor.

• Report material, carton, or packaging shortages immediately.

• Repair damaged products as needed and stamp completed units with assigned numbers.

• Perform final inspections, ensuring cleanliness and quality before packaging.

• Operate drill presses, countersink machines, saws, and rivet sheet metal as routed.

• Maintain accurate counts and records of parts and products.

• Move parts and products within the work area and record their locations.

2. Customer Returns & Show Product Processing

• Maintain organized files of all authorized returns and check in items on RMR forms.

• Log weekly RMR activity and submit reports to the office.

• Inspect and document the condition of returned items and maintain follow-up files.

• Repack, label, and return saleable items to stock using proper handling equipment.

• Disassemble and deliver products needing rework to the appropriate department; notify foreman.

• Scrap non-reworkable parts according to proper procedures.

• Track inventory when items are returned to stock.

3. Storeroom & Inventory Management

• Receive, inspect, and properly store all incoming items.

• Enter received items into inventory system and track usage.

• Prepare orders for all departments and manage requisitions for supplies.

• Determine storage methods, labeling, and location for storeroom items.

• Perform cycle counts as assigned.

4. Reporting & Supervision

• Report to the designated supervisor or lead for daily assignments.

• Complete time sheets accurately and track labor, materials, components, and products moved.

• Report any problems or quality issues promptly.

• Receive new assignments upon completion of tasks.

5. Safety & Quality

• Follow all personal and equipment safety rules.

• Keep work area clean and organized.

• Maintain quality by checking materials and products before, during, and after work, escalating issues as needed.

6. Training & Support

• Assist in training new employees on position duties and job procedures.
