Delivery Driver (CDL B Preferred)

Located in Tualatin, OR

Salary: $25/hr

A Tualatin company is looking for a delivery driver that is bilingual (English/Spanish) with a preference for those with a CDL-B license. 

This candidate will also need to possess excellent route planning skills and be an effective communicator with dispatch and customers. The driver will deliver pallets on a flatbed truck. 

Driver Job Description — Key Responsibilities

 

Safe Vehicle Operation

• Operates company vehicles in a safe, lawful, and responsible manner
• Maintains awareness of traffic conditions, weather, and potential hazards
• Follows assigned routes or adjusts intelligently to avoid delays and communicates route changes to dispatcher

On-Time Pickups and Deliveries

• Completes scheduled pickups and deliveries within required timeframes
• Plans routes to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime
• Communicates promptly with dispatch or supervisors about delays or issues

Cargo Handling

• Loads, unloads, and secures cargo to prevent damage
• Verifies delivery contents and ensures accurate documentation
• Handles materials with care, understands and follows proper lifting techniques

Vehicle Care & Maintenance

• Performs daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Reports mechanical problems immediately and coordinates repairs
• Keeps the vehicle clean, fueled, and compliant with safety standards

Documentation & Reporting

• Obtains signatures, proof of delivery, or required paperwork
• Reports incidents, accidents, or route deviations promptly

Customer Service & Communication

• Interacts professionally with customers, vendors, and team members
• Provides clear updates on delivery status or service issues
• Represents the company with courtesy and professionalism

Compliance & Company Standards

• Adheres to all company policies and safety procedures
• Complies with ODOT regulations and maintains required licenses
• Follows protocols for handling sensitive or high-value materials
