The Sewing Machine Operator is responsible for operating industrial sewing machines to assemble, alter, and repair fabric-based components according to production specifications. This role supports manufacturing operations by ensuring high-quality workmanship, efficiency, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Operate industrial sewing machines (single-needle, double-needle, or specialty machines) to sew various materials
Read and follow work orders, patterns, and production specifications
Inspect finished products to ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency
Make machine adjustments and perform basic maintenance as needed
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Meet production goals while maintaining quality standards
Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Communicate issues related to materials, equipment, or production to supervisors
Previous experience operating industrial sewing machines preferred
Ability to work with a variety of fabrics and materials
Strong attention to detail and quality
Ability to read measurements and follow instructions accurately
Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination
Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
Basic mechanical aptitude is a plus
