Job Summary

The Sewing Machine Operator is responsible for operating industrial sewing machines to assemble, alter, and repair fabric-based components according to production specifications. This role supports manufacturing operations by ensuring high-quality workmanship, efficiency, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate industrial sewing machines (single-needle, double-needle, or specialty machines) to sew various materials

• Read and follow work orders, patterns, and production specifications

• Inspect finished products to ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency

• Make machine adjustments and perform basic maintenance as needed

• Maintain a clean and organized work area

• Meet production goals while maintaining quality standards

• Follow all safety procedures and company policies

• Communicate issues related to materials, equipment, or production to supervisors

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating industrial sewing machines preferred

• Ability to work with a variety of fabrics and materials

• Strong attention to detail and quality

• Ability to read measurements and follow instructions accurately

• Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination

• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks

• Basic mechanical aptitude is a plus
