Pay: $24/hr

Shift: Monday to Friday 6:00 am – 4:30pm

Start Date: ASAP

Must have reliable transportation as there is no public transport available.

Position will lead to permanent and long-term employment for the right candidate!

We are assisting our client in Elmira to find an Assembler. You will assemble agricultural and industrial equipment like snowplows, bale wrappers, manure spreaders, and hay processing machines. This role involves using hand and power tools, moving heavy steel parts with an overhead crane, and reading measurements in both imperial and metric units.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble equipment according to technical drawings and specifications.
• Safely move heavy steel parts using an overhead crane.
• Measure parts accurately using tape measures (imperial and metric).
• Use hand and power tools to complete assembly tasks.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Ask questions when unsure and collaborate with team members.

Qualifications:

• Experience using hand and power tools (wrenches, hammers, screwdrivers, table saws, hand grinders, impact wrenches).
• Ability to read tape measures in imperial and metric units.
• Experience reading technical drawings.
• Overhead crane experience preferred.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Reliable, punctual, hardworking, and positive attitude.
• Must understand and communicate in English.
• Must have reliable transportation to Elmira.
