Express Employment is assisting a well-established manufacturing company in Lafayette, IN, in their search for a dedicated Paint Production Associate. This is a full-time position offering competitive pay and an opportunity to work in a hands-on production environment.

 

Starting Pay: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Some Overtime Required)

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle raw materials, chemicals, and additives to manufacture paint.
• Follow batch instructions, weigh and mix materials, and operate mixing tanks.
• Take paint samples for quality testing and follow safety procedures.
• Drive forklifts (stand-up & sit-down) to move raw materials and finished goods.
• Filter and fill finished paint into appropriate containers (pails, drums, etc.).
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all safety protocols.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in production, manufacturing, or factory work required.
• Chemical handling experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and work in a paint manufacturing environment.
• Forklift experience required; must pass a forklift training test.
• Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions.
• Basic math skills and ability to record key process information.
• Must pass a drug test before starting.
• Background check required (can start pending results).
• Compliance with safety protocols, including PPE and COVID-19 guidelines.

• Heated plant and warehouse
• Exposure to chemicals and odors
• Safety glasses, safety shoes, and other PPE required
