Express is hiring experienced Machine Operators for a Machine Shop in Mount Braddock!

Responsibilities of the Machine Operator:

• Machine Setup: Help the machinist set up the machine for work.
• Position Work Pieces: Use a hoist and hoist operations to position workpieces correctly against a stop.
• Machine Operation: Start and watch the machine to make sure it's working correctly and within tolerances.
• Measurements: Use tools like micrometers, height gauges, and gauge blocks to check if the machine's work is accurate.
• Finishing Touches: Remove any rough edges, burrs, or sharp spots on the workpieces using tools like a portable grinder, hand file, or scraper.
• Workpiece Handling: Assist the machinist in stacking, marking, and moving finished workpieces.
• Safety and Quality: Always operate equipment following safety and quality control standards.
• Tools: Either have the necessary tools for the job or be willing to acquire them through a company-funded plan.

 

Requirements of the Machine Operator:

• High School diploma or GED
• Ability to stand for over 6 hours
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• 3 years experience in Manufacturing
