Job Description

Job Title: Mold Setter

Reports To: Production Supervisor

 

Pay Rate: $20/hour (1st Shift) 6a-2:30p M-F

Job Purpose

The Mold Setter is responsible for setting, removing, and maintaining molds to support efficient production operations. This role coordinates schedules, tooling, and inventory to ensure safe, accurate, and timely mold changes while minimizing downtime.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Set up, remove, and change molds according to production schedules
• Inspect molds for wear, damage, or needed repairs prior to and after use
• Ensure molds are installed correctly and safely per specifications
• Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime
• Maintain accurate records of mold changes, maintenance, and inventory
• Troubleshoot mold-related issues during production runs
• Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Assist with preventive maintenance activities as needed

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Mold Setter or in a related manufacturing role preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and setup documentation
• Knowledge of safety procedures and lockout/tagout practices
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills

Working Conditions

Willing to work in a non-temperature-controlled environment, including exposure to heat during summer months and cold during winter periods.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally
• Ability to bend, reach, and work around machinery safely
