NDT Technician Level II

 

Location: Bridgeport, WV Job Type: Full-Time, Monday – Thursday Compensation: 25.00 hr 

 

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented NDT Technician Level II to join our Engine Shop team. In this role, you will perform critical non-destructive testing and evaluations on aircraft components to ensure safety and quality standards are met in a fast-paced maintenance environment.

 

Essential Job Functions

  •  

    Testing & Evaluation: Perform calibrations, non-destructive tests, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection based on written instructions.

     
  •  

    Compliance: Interpret and evaluate results in accordance with applicable FAA codes, standards, and specifications.

     
  •  

    Equipment Management: Set up and calibrate NDT equipment; maintain a clean work environment to ensure equipment longevity and safety.

     
  •  

    Technique Development: Establish proper examination techniques while ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.

     
  •  

    Quality Control: Conduct inspections to detect discontinuities (defects) and ensure overall part quality.

     

Qualifications & Requirements

  •  

    Certification: Must be Level II certified in NDT.

     
  •  

    Experience: Minimum of 3 years in the aviation industry.

     
  •  

    Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

     
  •  

    License: Valid driver’s license.

     
  •  

    Screening: Must be compliant with FAA Drug and Alcohol screening checks and pass a criminal background check.

     
  •  

    Skills: Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently; ability to interpret technical documents, safety rules, and procedures.

     
  •  

    Preferred: FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certification is preferred.

     

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  •  

    Environment: Aircraft maintenance within an engine shop; mandatory use of appropriate PPE.

     
  •  

    Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, and crouch; must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

     
  •  

    Vision: Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, focus adjustment, and color vision.
