Mill Operator
Location: Irwin, PA
Pay: $24+/hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (or based on shift schedule)
Start Date: Immediate
Duration: Full-Time / Ongoing

About the Position:

We are seeking a skilled Mill Operator in Irwin, PA. This role is ideal for candidates with experience operating milling machines and ensuring high-quality production output. The operator will handle machine setup, monitor equipment, and maintain precise production standards. Safety, accuracy, and reliability are key priorities in this position.

Responsibilities of the Mill Operator:

• Operate and monitor milling machines to produce parts to specification

• Load and unload materials and tooling on milling equipment

• Set up machine controls, fixtures, and cutting tools according to work orders

• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical instructions

• Make adjustments to machine settings to meet quality and production goals

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance of mill machines

• Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances

• Accurately document production data and machine logs

• Follow all safety procedures and OSHA standards

Requirements of the Mill Operator:

• Prior mill operation or machining experience preferred (CNC experience a plus)

• Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and work instructions

• Comfortable with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Mechanically inclined with good problem-solving skills

• Able to work independently or as part of a team

• Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift materials, and handle industrial tools

• Experience with production tracking systems like S2Y is a plus

Clearance Requirements:

All employees must successfully obtain:

• Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Clearance (PSP)

• Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Clearance
