Staging, Kitting and Logistics Specialist

Located in Sarasota, FL

Salary: $20/Hour

We are seeking a detail-oriented Staging, Kitting & Logistics Specialist to support device deployment and logistics operations for a growing technology-focused organization in Sarasota.

Schedule:

• Monday–Friday, 9:00am–1:00pm for the first 30 days

• Transitions to full-time after the initial 30-day period

Compensation: Competitive, based on experience

Position Summary:

The Staging, Kitting & Logistics Specialist is responsible for preparing, configuring, packaging, shipping, and tracking tablet devices used in fleet and field operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring devices meet quality, security, and deployment standards while supporting inventory accuracy and logistics workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

Device Staging & Configuration

• Enroll tablets into a Mobile Device Management (MDM) system according to established standards

• Apply required applications, system settings, and configurations

• Verify device permissions, security controls, and access restrictions

• Test devices for functionality and cellular connectivity prior to deployment

Kitting & Packaging

• Kit, label, and package devices based on internal and customer requirements

• Ensure devices are packaged securely to meet quality and shipping standards

Shipping & Logistics

• Generate shipping labels, documentation, and tracking using company-approved software

• Monitor shipments and resolve delivery issues as needed

• Coordinate with shipping carriers to meet delivery timelines

Inventory Management

• Maintain accurate inventory records for devices, accessories, SIM cards, and equipment

• Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or reorder needs

• Assist with audits, reconciliation, and asset tracking

Vendor & Team Coordination

• Communicate with vendors regarding procurement, replacements, and returns

• Collaborate with internal teams to meet deployment requirements

• Address logistics or deployment issues in a timely and professional manner

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)

• Experience in device staging, kitting, logistics, or deployment operations

• Familiarity with Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms

• Experience using shipping software and working with carriers

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting large-scale tablet or mobile device deployments

• Knowledge of cellular connectivity, SIM provisioning, or mobile applications

• Experience with inventory management systems

• Background in technology, logistics, fleet operations, or IoT environments

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move equipment (up to approximately 40 lbs)

• Ability to stand, bend, and handle devices for extended periods

• Office and/or warehouse environment depending on operational needs
