Warehouse Team Lead – Hands-On Food Bank Operations

We are hiring for a local nonprofit food bank serving communities across South Carolina. Our mission is to eliminate hunger and food insecurity by rescuing nutritious food and distributing it through pantries, shelters, mobile pantries, and programs for children and seniors.

We are hiring a Warehouse Team Lead to oversee daily warehouse operations while working side-by-side with the team. This is a working lead role — you will supervise, organize, and direct staff and volunteers while also packing boxes, loading vehicles, and helping food move out to the community.

This role is ideal for someone with warehouse or logistics experience who enjoys leading people, staying active, and making a real impact.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of warehouse associates and volunteers
• Pack food boxes and meal kits for families and partner agencies
• Load food into customer, pantry, and delivery vehicles
• Receive, inspect, sort, and store incoming food donations
• Maintain accurate inventory and organized warehouse areas
• Enforce safety, cleanliness, and food handling standards

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse, distribution, logistics, or food bank experience preferred
• Leadership or team lead experience a plus
• Comfortable lifting, moving, and working on your feet
• Able to organize people and handle a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Dependable, positive, and mission-driven

Nonprofit or volunteer management experience is helpful but not required.
